Purple Crab Creations, Inc. is a growing home based company located in Ellicott City, Maryland.  Purple Crab Creations is owned and operated by Jennifer Pelesh.  The inspiration for starting the company came from Jennifer’s creativity and love to design.   She has always been interested in design and jewelry but never put her talents to use in this way.   Jennifer stays busy working as a speech-language pathologist and being the mother of two boys.  The company name was chosen to reflect her love of the beach and her favorite color!  The goal of this company is to provide unique and interesting pieces of jewelry that are made from quality materials.  Almost all of the jewelry is created with sterling silver and 14k gold-filled beads and clasps, Swarovski crystals and pearls, semi-precious gemstones and handcrafted lampwork beads.  The jewelry she creates is perfect for anyone who is looking to own and wear fun yet classic looking pieces of jewelry.  Depending on the occasion there are several collections to choose from.

In addition to owning a new piece of jewelry, a percentage of the proceeds from your purchase will be set aside for a cause that is very important to Jennifer, Congenital Heart Defect research (CHD).  CHD research is vital in helping to treat and save the lives of babies who are born with congenital heart defects.  Jennifer herself was born with a CHD and underwent open heart surgery to repair an atrial septal defect at the age of four.  Her brother was also recently diagnosed with a congenital hole in his heart at the age of 31.  Statistics estimate that about 1,000,000 Americans have congenital heart defects, and approximately 35,000 babies are born with a defect each year. This is a very worthy cause and one that is often under recognized.
